Held annually in Austin, Texas every March, SXSW Interactive is one of the largest technology conferences in the world. Each year, the festival encourages community involvement through the PanelPicker voting process, allowing SXSW attendees to have a voice in which sessions are scheduled throughout the event, as well as for its music and film conferences.
Shutterstock is always thrilled to have a presence in Austin, so this year we submitted our fearless founder, Jon Oringer (together with Steve Bertoni of Forbes) for a panel at the conference. The PanelPicker voting deadline is this Friday, September 5, and we’d love your help to bring Jon’s panel to Texas.
At the dual session, “NYC vs. The Valley & Making Success Last Post-IPO,” Jon and Steve will share a lively conversation on the benefits and disadvantages of building and growing a company through IPO on both coasts. The talk will cover the challenges of scaling a global company, defining success, attracting talent, and encouraging innovation to ultimately succeed.
To participate in the voting process, simply follow these 3 steps:
1. Create a PanelPicker account at https://auth.sxsw.com/users/sign_up.
2. Once you’re logged in, go to our page at http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/vote/41069.
3. In the upper left corner, you’ll see a “Cast Your Vote” section. Click on the thumbs-up symbol, and you’re done!
You can only vote once, but feel free to share this with friends, family, Twitter followers, and others to help Jon and Steve take the stage at SXSWi 2015!
